Psychopomp

Though he was a normal dragon once, roaming in a small but vicious pack of mirrors in the icy trails of the frozen wastes where he was hatched, that was a long time ago. Now, he guides the souls of the dead. He is impartial, never judging them for their actions while alive or listening to their cries for another chance, to be left alone, to be returned. He does not weep over them, nor does he gloat. He simply ferries them from where they were to where they're supposed to go.

Ever since he was young, Spider could see the dead. He came upon the urge to guide souls naturally, or maybe some unseen force manipulated him to it. The lost souls gravitated towards him without his doing and he knew where they should be taken when they were near him. Because of his abilities, he was discovered by a powerful creature that recruited him. Spider gets certain... benefits for his work, so long as he meets the monthly quota.

To the dead, Spider is uncompromisingly strong, they have little power to resist him. To the living, he is an average fighter, better in a group than on his own. He left the Southern Icefields when he'd turned into a psychopomp, settling into a Plague clan because of the amount of death in the vicinity. It makes it much easier to reach his quota.

Strictly through circumstance and for no other reason whatsoever, Spider has taken on a... part-time assistant. Just so he can occasionally take a break every once-in-a-while, rest up the aching claws and have something nice to look at. For her part, Vertigo doesn't seem to mind Spider's company, either.
