Acting General of Dawn's Dusk, Sunseeker is the clan's chief overseer in manners concerning warfare and as such is a close advisor to Lady Despoina, guiding her hand so that together they can better defend the territory. He takes the welfare of his troops and clan very seriously, his devotion fueled by a fierce loyalty- a loyalty earned not through mere kinship, but through hard-earned respect and admiration.

Many seasons ago, Sunseeker was young adolescent Mirror named Syris, spawned by Shade Cultists and abandoned once his parent's heinous crimes were uncovered. Believed to be a product of their transgressions on account of his strange markings, he was vilified and reviled by many in his birth clan, chief among them being the clan leader's own son. Most days he would sit still and simply endure whatever abuse the Imperial had concocted for him, but finally, one day, he retaliated. What began as a heavy strike to remind him of his place escalated into a bloody brawl, and at the end of it, the clan leader's only remaining son lay dead. Knowing that his pleas of innocence would fall on deaf ears, he fled east, finding sanctuary in the lair of his grandparents. When news of his misdeeds eventually reached the lair, he wholly expected to be chased out of the clan. But instead of sending him fleeing further into the unknown, Dawnslayer offered him protection... on one condition: if they protected him, he in return must help protect them. He gratefully obliged, and has since continually sought to return the favor.

Since tasked with training the many young dragons that pass through the lair, initially he comes off as humorless, strict, and harsh, often quickly earning the ire of the fledglings who have to train under him. However, much to the confusion of these young cadets, the older recruits idolize him, and he is generally considered a very well-liked figure in and around the lair. The truth of it is that, despite his hard, battle-toughened exterior, he does have a soft side, and the pride he feels for his long-time trainees will sometimes peek through. However, it is this same fondness that drives him to push the tenderfoots to their limits, for knowing the soldiers under his charge personally only makes the pain of losing them in battle that much worse.

Although he is rarely seen outside the training grounds, his nights and the rest of his idle time is usually spent with his mate, Kamenwati, fellow warrior and the clan's Archmage. While at first glance the two appear to be polar-opposites in personality, with Kamenwati being excitable and ostentatious in comparison to his mate's pensive and earnest nature, the two have been drawn to each other from the very beginning, having been together since adolescence. A secret romantic, Sunseeker is always looking for particularly shiny natural metals or stones to bring his mate, often using his morning patrols as an excuse to search for the glittering charms. Barring that, one can find him either consulting with Lady Despoina, training with his daughter Eryandr, or making offerings to Lightweaver, to whom he is extremely devout.
