Uh oh! It looks like this existential floofball is far away from home! She is a part of the Dragons Off to See the World thread!

If you want to exalt her, I'd prefer it if you sent her back to Taijavu. She's a special dragon to me, and I'd appreciate it! If I am no longer active, you can also send her to the Dragons Off to See the World thread too. It's actually how she's getting around, anyways!

Origin story:

Starburst is probably one of the least likely guests you'd think to find hanging around on an isolated beach. She comes from a place of some of Sornieth's brightest and best, and would be more inclined to stay there if the housemates were a little less... disconcerting. I mean, her parents named her after a candy! And only eat candy! Some even ate books! (She honestly isn't sure how they're still alive..) She's just grateful it wasn't Cottoncandy, or something.. Yeah, she gets it. She's pink, she's fluffy. Anyways..

So she needed to get out. Somewhere where she could be herself, without her family name following her. Anywhere, where she could just relax for awhile and find out what she wanted to do with her life. A beach wasn't what she was expecting, but things could certainly be worse...

She found an unusual friend in Cinalagos (or perhaps not so unusual, if you knew Cinalagos very well..), when her talents were unmasked eventually. Cinalagos may have no clue what cybernetics or wormholes or genetic tinkering is, (and Stardust didn't stay long enough to have a full understanding herself, really,) she is a fast and dedicated student. Cinalagos has talked and talked and talked and asked her questions for three hours straight once. She already has a journal 30 pages long on the stuff she's picked up. Starburst just wishes she could be a teacher who knew what she was doing, and actually found the stuff as exciting as her "student" did.

She also accidentally let slip that she knows her candy when watching Daisuke work, (please, no more candy,) but he didn't pry too deep beyond appreciating her expertise and taking down notes of her advice. To be honest, he didn't even know there even were candies beyond hardened honey!

She enjoyed their companionship, and half somewhat enjoyed being useful, (though the other half resented that all she was good for was her parents' background,) and came to see the group as a trusted second family of sorts. She also developed a bit of a crush on Magpie. Both seemed disgruntled about their fated choice of family, and... He's soooo troubled and mysterious! And when he plays the lute!? Hmmmnnn... Um, anyways!

She loved her second home and the friends she had met, but something felt missing still. She didn't feel "ready," as if who she wanted to be wasn't finished cooking yet. With that in mind, she felt she should still see more of the world and expand her knowledge before finding out who she was or what she wanted to be. And so eventually, having given heartfelt hugs and goodbyes, and a promise to soon one day return, she set off yet again on her pilgrimage.

Fun fact: As a child of lightning, her fur poofs on end when she gets excited or focused in her engineering work. It's really embarrassing, actually.
