Biography
Argonaut, Law-Keeper of the Windflight Clan
CLAN RULES
5. Members or temporary residents of allied Clans and former residents of Windflight Clan must be granted a stay in Windflight Clan if requested.
6. Prisoners of allied Clans will be treated as such in Windflight Clan unless requested otherwise by a member of Clan Council, or if the prisoner in question is a former or current member of Windflight Clan. If former, the dragon must have left the Clan with a blood status of High 1 or higher. If this is not the case, the dragon will be treated as a prisoner regardless of former allegiance with Windflight Clan.
7. If the above is true and the dragon in question proves themselves to be a worthy member of a Clan/loyal to dragonkind, they may be granted permanent residence in Windflight Clan if they so wish. However, they are forbidden to enter the Clan Council or cast votes in public events up to one year after the resident status is granted.
8. In the event of a death of an Imperial, the deceased dragon's closest friends, parents or offspring will decide what happens to the body to prevent creation of an Emperor. If none are present, the dragon will be cremated.
9. Clan Council members can propose the addition or removal of a law at any time, but it must be voted on by the entirety of the council. If said change to Clan Law has a major impact on the daily life of our ordinary dragons, the law change is to be decided on by a vote with every single adult dragon in the Clan. This excludes prisoners and travelers.
10. If an 'eternal hatchling' is to ever reside in the Clan, it is up to the council to decide whether this dragon be treated as an adult or a hatchling in the eyes of the law. An individual decision must be made for each eternal hatchling.
1. Upon a leader's death or retirement, their last-born hatchling, their mate or another member of the council may become leader in their place.
1a. The last-born hatchling of a leader is the first in line to the throne, followed by their mother/father. Members of the council are last in line.
1b. 'Last-born' can mean the last-hatched of a clutch of eggs or the leader's last-hatched son/daughter in general.
1c. if another dragon that is not the leader's mate, hatchling or a council member is chosen to be the new leader upon the former leader's death, they will become leader instead.
Diamond's Inspired-By-An-Ally-Clan law
2. All new members of the Clan are automatically granted Clan blood status of High 1. This means that they can freely breed and name their hatchlings and are welcome to all Clan gatherings.
2a. Hatchlings born from High 1 parents take the blood status of High 2 and so on with High 3, 4 and 5 etc.
3. Upon stealing, murdering or attacking a member of the Clan, a dragon's blood status is demoted to Low [number] This means that they are unwelcome from Clan gatherings and are kept a close eye on.
3a. This law only applies to current Clan members who have been granted a blood status.
4. Clan Leaders and their mates and children/grandchildren etc are granted blood status Highest [number].
