Creedence took her daughter on a fishing trip when she was young, but the hatchling fell overboard and grew tangled in kelp as she thrashed in fear. By the time her frantic mother retrieved her at last, the girl had drowned, but death is not always final amongst Plagueborn dragons
Within the hour of the pair's return home, Yllor's eyes had opened once more, though she never again drew breath.
