DRACO INFERNUS

The Draco Infernus are a loose faction of dragonkind that supposedly sprung from the underworld itself. They're called many names, perhaps the most fitting is "a bunch of weirdos". But that doesn't roll off the tongue very well, so we're going we're just going to call them Infernus dragons.

Upon working their way into a clan's lair, Infernus dragons are quick to become the resident bad influence. If you need a reliable source of cruddy advice, poor judgement, or questionable opinions, an Infernus dragon is just what you need!

All Infernus dragons are prone to chronic misbehavior and get "stuck" on certain bad habits. They fully understand when they've done wrong and seem mired in perpetual guilt over their sins, but they struggle to steer themselves in the right direction. Many have tried to reform an Infernus dragon, but few have succeeded.

In terms of physical appearance, Infernus dragons always have the stained gene with a blue or purple tertiary color, while their primary and secondary colors are somewhere in the red range or (less frequently) the brown or pink range. Their primary and secondary genes vary, but they always have at least one gene that introduces some other hues to their color scheme (IE skink, toxin, trail, butterfly, etc.) These color accents seem to influence their personality and physiology somewhat.





Infernus dragons with strong blues or teals in their markings are part of the Limbo sect. They tend to be more reserved and melancholic, and they're said to be cold and clammy to the touch. They tend to express the most remorse for their actions, but are often hopeless over ever improving.



Infernus dragons with color schemes dominated by purples without any blue or green markings are part of the Purgatory sect. They tend to be more animated and excitable, and their body temperature is said to hot enough to steam up a closed space within minutes. They tend to commit more crimes than the other sects, but are also the most likely to work at improving themselves.



Infernus dragons with bright greens in their markings are part of the Hades sect. This is the rarest sect, and they tend to be cryptic and two-faced. They are the least likely to repent for their misdeeds or change for the better. Spending too much time in their presence causes headaches and dizziness.



A small number of Infernus dragons have colors that don't quite fit the standards of the three sects. Their personality and physical traits don't seem to follow a specific pattern, but they seem to be more prone to erratic and/or dangerous behavior.
