Witch liked messing with the grumpy old Bogsneak that commanded the cauldron. He acted like he knew everything, but he wasn't observant in the same way she was.

She knew that putting food into the cauldron would produce goo. She knew how to tilt the brew's favor to produce blue goo. She knew exactly the recipes to make new familiars, how to make life out of nothing.

But her knowledge didn't stop her from experimenting.

Witch had her own cauldron, one that was her size. She threw in some ingredients one day to see what the results would bring. Based on the ingredients, she expected a familiar.

When she went back to check on it, her cauldron had vanished.

But it didn't take long for her to find it sitting on her work desk, donning new appendages and a radioactive smile.

Witch couldn't help but smile.
