Hecate
Obsessive|| Dedicated|| Forgiving "My ambitions can save lives!" Theme Song Hecate was born in the icy land of the Icewarden to a pearlcatcher and imperial. It wasn't a lasting pairing between the two but she could tell the two at least worked together to raise Hecate and her siblings as lovingly as they could. She was told about warriors in the family but Hecate wasn't interested in fighting herself; it was much too brutal for a magic user like her. So, she started searching for another path to take in life. Her journey took her to Plaguebringer's territory where she grew an interest in the different strains of disease that infected the land. Hecate found the Clan of Death and was taken in as an apprentice to the healers and assistant healers to study under them until she had enough experience to rise in rank. It was hard work, viruses, bacteria, infections, and the occasional lesson on wounds were difficult to keep track of at first but she wasn't the type to give up. Soon, Hecate's pearl was filled with memories of different treatments for everything she learned. Her experience and knowledge was far from complete, no dragon could ever hope to know everything about healing when it came to the Plague flight constantly developing new strands to infect and weed out the weak. However, Hecate was promoted to the rank of healer's assistant suddenly after the main- and original- healer of the clan passed away. Hecate was dedicated to creating new strands of diseases and finding cures to further her training. Perhaps one day she would become a full on healer, though with that would come increased pressure on her to help her clan mates at least near perfectly... Not that she had any doubts she could do it. Another dragon working with her by the name of Simon soon became involved with her. The two worked closely together and soon became mates. Hecate knew his past was... dark... and he tended to have revenge on his mind to anyone wronging those he cared for but every dragon had flaws. His complicated feelings over Plague and abandonment was just something that made Simon, well Simon. Hecate knew she wasn't perfect either with her obsessive nature over her duty to the clan. She would become unhealthy with it and zone out for nearly days at times. Plus, despite her efforts to stop as to not worry her mate, Hecate occasionally experimented the new strains on herself. Her ice magic slowed the diseases but Simon was almost always hovering over her shoulder when he'd find out. Still, her ambition to become a full healer was a good thing right? It meant less dragons to die in her clan from disease, which meant the warriors could continue to fight for the territory. For now, being an assistant healer was fine with her. All that really mattered in Hecate's eyes was to keep learning and proving that she could save those who needed it. If her leader deems another dragon worthy of the title of healer then so be it... She'll stay in rank without fuss. After all, either the healer will fail or succeed. In Plague however, that could easily cost a dragon their life. |
