Biography

Whirlwind Crown Cloud Whirlwind Crown
The light's messager

She buried her muzzle into her paws, her gaze resting on the distance. Dragons coiled and sprung throughout fluffy white clouds. They were so careless and free. She lifted her head and turned to see her mother, entering their small portion of the lair with heavy eyes and thudding footsteps.

"Your father has been buried." She plotted her backside onto the ground, "He was taken very far away."

Cloud clicked her head to the side, "Why did they have to take Papa so far away?"

Her mother hesitated, glancing down and to the side and looking back at her daughter, "It's simply tradition, my dear, don't you worry."

Cloud nodded and prepared to return to her longing watch of the Windswept Plateau. But then more footsteps sounded at the entrance, their lair leader came in with his greying muzzle and glazed yellow eyes.

"Cloud, you have been called upon to return a message to a lair in the Windswept Plateau." His voice was low and gruff.

Her mother cast her a worrying glance, but Cloud burst from her seat and skipped over to their leader. He gave her mother a glance, the kind of glance that dared her to object. His tail curled around Cloud and ushered her out.

Two servant dragons came up with clothing, one held a near complete Windwalker outfit and the other held a messenger's kit.

Cloud nodded to the lair dwellers and lifted off, spreading her wings and taking in the air. What was the letter she was delivering? Why did they chose her? She pushed the questions to the back of her mind, she was en route to a place she had fantasized for most of her life.

She had arrived, the sun was high in the sky with dragons curling around it, screaming and laughing playfully. Three dragons passed her by with bright smiles and careless compliments. Nothing like the dragons in light, who seemed, despite their titles, walked around with heavy hearts.

Cloud found herself consistently hit with pangs of longing. She gave her bag quick looks, knowing the message must be important. More dragons passed her by, smiling at her.

Something clicked. She pulled the papers from their holder and held them tightly. If she cast them aside now, her old lair would never remember her.

She hesitated, watching a wave before her lap at the shore. Roughly, she threw them into the mouth of the ocean which swallowed it whole and washed it away.

Quickly, she grabbed a handful of papers from a sweet dragon who ran a small shop, who didn't object when she threw two gems onto the counter.

She rolled them up and placed them in the holders. Suddenly she felt at home, her old lair in light was suddenly so easily forgotten.

She got a sorcerer to get the wind emblem enchanted on her head and was suddenly so happy.

This was where she belonged.

i dont like the word belonged ***

anyway

-- she basically counts as a guardian on the hotel, so she just shifts about and explores and long-time inhabitants get to know her. She knocks on doors and says "room service!" and is always welcomed inside as a short break from the dreary afterlife.

she occasionally explores the mortal world, and visited the most when Pastel was alive. She became sort of a leash to rein him in a lot. They considered a relationship but Cloud is millions of years old and saw Pastel as more of a son.
