Biography
XXXUkomba The Leader |
Deep within the forests of the Shrieking Wilds, a Clan stirs. Its Mother, as they refer to her, goes by Ukomba. Her deep green scales are complimented by her feathered decorations, and she is only seen when she wishes to be. A large dragon - most probably the largest of the Clan - Ukomba is unwilling to take any nonsense from anyone. She is old but wise, and looks to her young and any wandering Dragon that wishes to join her Clan.
Recently, Sno began to feel uncomfortable. He would moan in his sleep and speak in riddles. Uncomforted, Ukomba asked him to speak with her in private, hoping to get information out of him. He responded with only one wish; that they retreat to the Icewarden's land. He no longer felt safe here. Perhaps it was the idea of Milima lurking... He wasn't sure. it was discussed between themselves, Latikus and Ethra. Eris' dragons were still young, and there were a few hatchlings to grow... Could they make the journey? Sno insisted they must leave. And Ukomba agreed, despite Latikus' complaints. The clan were informed the next morning to gather belongings in what they could, and that they were making a treacherous journey. In order to keep safe from the Plague and Shadow lands, they would circle through Earth and Arcane to reach the Souther Icefield. Ukomba led the way, watching as Coaltridge kept his two young upon his tall back. Beryl and the Faes would scoute ahead for dangers and return, telling them to continue. As they approached the Icefield, Ukomba offered her will and loyalty to the Icewarden. He saw within her the truth, and allowed her and her clan to continue, where they took refuge at the Snowsquall Tundra, close to the base of the mountains. Ukomba sleeps with great peace, as Sno no longer wakes her with his mumblings. |

The Matriarch
_______________________________________________________________________
"Ukomba, The Ancient Queen"
Ancient and wise, a leviathin from the dawn of the world, Ukomba rules her clan with an imperious voice and a heart of pure steel. She has existed since the time the Shade reappeared in the world under the curious machinations of the Arcanist, and cut her eyeteeth on the Shade infected monsters that boiled from the bowels of the world.
Her emerald hide is marked by the silvery reminders of battles long past, of triumphs and losses as she sought to find a place for her clan in choking, leafy heat of the Shrieking Wilds; cultivating a life for them under the watchful eye of the Gladekeeper.
She clad herself in gold armor, and the feathers and skulls of tropical birds, and underneath the barbaric finery hides and cunning and fertile mind. She is not cruel but she does not suffer fools lightly. Her word is law among the dragons who call themselves a member of her clan and all of them look to her for guidance.
There is no one in the clan who would question that Ukomba is truly their leader; a wise and fearsome queen.
