Biography

Saddi's dragon, here for nesting

(16.3.2018) A dragon had sought sanctuary from the halls that she had patrolled for longer than she could remember. The dragon was bruised by mining but held his head up high, challenging the world before him. Dragons in his state didn't normally have a stature of a conqueror. He laid in the corner near the door that separated them from the smog and ash storm outside. The howl and scratching of the storm could be heard deep into then temples empty halls. She watched him from the corridor leading deeper inside the temple. He seemed not to be a troublemaker so she left him alone and turned to roam the corridors and halls.
The male was persistent. He had seen her the first time and had visited the temple couple of times a week since then. He was calling for anyone, as he knows that someone is there. She had no intention of straying from her path in the winding halls.
It had been some time now - she couldn't keep up with time for longer than couple of weeks - since she had seen the male. He could be heard loud and clear though. Walking, mapping the halls in search for her. If their paths were destined to meet, they would have already. His frantical search was in vain.
It had been quiet for some time. The male had this time been in the temple longer than normally. His footsteps had quieted down and he hadn't shouted for her for even once this time or the time before it. Then a loud crash and clatter echoed through the stony structure. The clang of metal against stone, wood scraping the uneven floor until lifting off and flying through the air and hitting the stone once more. Now he was of disturbance. Now she had a duty. How long had it been? Forever maybe. She navigated through the labyrinth with practiced ease to a large dining or conference room. The tables scattered across the floor in seeming disarray were as they should, the empty dust-filled metal cups in their places. Mostly. The male had swept few cups and a chair from the end of one table straight to a wall. He looked at her with confidence and pleasure. He somehow had known she would come.
"You're the temple-keep, right?"
"You are correct. You are disturbing the temple's peace," she stated in a monotone wheeze. How long ago was it that she spoke out loud?
"It was darn hard to figure the place out as much as I did. Got lost a few times too. The place's a labyrinth and folk don't wanna talk about this place. They think it's cursed. Frankly I never believed in curses or ghosts--"
"You have to leave," she cut him off "You have disturbed the tranquility of this temple."
The male looked unimpressed.
"You know I'm not gonna leave anywhere just yet." He sat down and stretched "Everyone's saying this place is temple but no one knows whose. Do you even have a patron for this pile of dust?"
She opened her mouth to answer, but could not. Who was she serving? Why was she serving? She didn't know anymore. A silent terror made it home in the pit of her stomach.
"You don't know who you're serving?!" The male's mouth gaped open until he let out a somewhat gloat chuckle.
She just stood there. She had spent here longer than she could remember and yet she couldn't say why. She had been so certain of her purpose to protect these walls around her that she never stopped to ask why. Suddenly she felt things that she hadn't felt in long time. Loneliness, a sence of purposelessness, she didn't belong. The walls were cold, the air was musty and hard to breathe. Her mouth dried, tongue suddenly feeling ten times as large. Why was she here?

(17.3.2018)Almas walked along the temple with her to figure out who or what she was serving but found no stutues or paintings to aid them. Almas concluded that the temple must have been raided long ago because there were empty pedestals upon which statues of precious metals must have stood. For long time Almas called her temple-keep. The name eventually shortened to Temple. He told her of his home and his quest to acquire special iron from molten scar to be accepted as a sword master's student. He reintroduced her to water and food, which she probably hadn't eaten in a lifetime. First her state declined but eventually improved. The bond between her and the temple weakened. She could no longer remember the ways or hear what was happening on the other side of the vast networks of stony halls and corridors. As they walked the saw caved in corridors and collapsed pillars. The temple was breaking apart. After long persuasion, Almas eventually grabben her and carried her out of the temple. Immediately after she exited the door the place came crashing down. The only thing left standing was the door and half of the entry-hall. She was now alone with this imperial in a world she knew nothing about with a body too weak for all the struggles ahead.

(18.3.2018) During their travels Almas and Temple grew close and even if Almas was arrogant and ignorant he did try to help, and in some cases succeeded. Her fear of the world mellowed and she could feel how the influence of the temple had really messed her up. Her fur started to regain markings as if dust was slowly brushed off her fur. She came to the lair to live with Almas, the only thing she really knew of the world that she had forgotten. The lair was friendly and took her in even tho the space was scarce. She clings tightly to Almas, following him everywhere tho with the encouragement of Almas and Yona (who was much warmer than most of lair said she was) she is learning to be on her own.

(27.4.2019) Eventually her magic awoke. She had become quite independent since her arrival and tried joining the coliseum fighters as they were short on fire combatant. She was accepted and proved herself a promising fighting mage. She was certain that such a stroke of luck could be nothing else than a sign from her deity, the Flamecaller, who hadn't abandoned her after all. She decided to visit her region of origin, including the temple. Upon returning to Heathen Home, she felt light and at peace. She signed herself as the representative of fire and requested matching attire. She also made herself the priest of Flamecaller, joining the small circle of priests the lair hosts: Mordre for Arcanist, Gavinia for Plaguebringer and Temple for Flamecaller
