Quiet and reserved, Senka stays in the deepest, darkest tunnels of the Kazoku Clan lair. She is rarely seen by other members of the Clan, with only those who frequent the deep caves sometimes catching sight of her. Some members of the Clan sometimes question if she is still there or have forgotten her altogether, and most of the younger members of the Clan don't even know of her existence.


Many moons ago the Kazuko Clan took in a tiny, lost Pearlcatcher. She was the little joy of the Clan back then. They all loved her, and though she was quiet she loved to explore and make gifts for her clanmates.
As she grew however she took an interest in magic. She spent her time in the library, reading up on the magical arts. She practiced it alone, learning spells she didn't fully understand, some darker than she thought they were.
One day she discovered a stash of books on dark magic, and at first she only read, remembering warnings from many of the books she'd read before. But her curiosity lead her onward, and she dabbled in some of the smaller dark spells. Dark magic however is like an addiction, and it draws you in deeper every time you engage it. She tried out bigger and bigger spells, until she stumbled upon spells involving the Shade himself.
For the first time she felt true fear towards the magics she dabbled in. She read into the magic of the Shade and worried what might happen to one to who used it, who summoned a scrap of the darkness itself to be bent and twisted to their will.
The worry became a question. The question became curiosity. The curiosity became a nagging want. Dark magic she had already allowed in wanting it's master.
She took the book and journeyed deep into the vacant tunnels the Clan did not yet inhabit. She set up as the book told her, taking animals from the food pile, craving runes around a stone which were filled in with their blood.
There she tried the spell, and shadows flooded from the dark corners of the room, gathering around her. Darkness flowed through her, the Shade dropping it's head to her level to growl.
You wish for the darkness, child? You wish for my power? I will grant you that which you wish for. Do what you want with it, just let me see this world as you do.
It left, but scrap of the Shade stayed with her. Emotion was gone. Fear no more. There was just this power, infinite power. Just a leftover wish, a leftover self.

The Shade's darkness eats away at her. In a attempt to free herself she used her magic to pour her darkened soul into her pearl, keeping it's darkness inside of her, only tapping into it when needed.
Nowadays the shadowy figure stalks the halls of the Kazuko Lair. Some see her from the corner of their eye, a shadow they cannot quite recognize. She appears only to those she wishes to, keeping those who find thd dark secrets of the Kazuko lair away from the wrath of the Shade-Touched she has since discovered living among her clanmates. She's no Guardian, but these dragons, this Clan, they are her charge.
