Biography
Give Poison, Shimmer, Smoke? Savannah? Morph? Koi?
Stop dropping your pearl, his mother always said, you won't like what'll happen when it finally cracks, she warned. What if you lose it? she'd nag. Starwatcher knew she meant well, but he couldn't help it. The darned thing always slipped out of his claws, growing faster than he could keep up with it. It was too big for him to grasp now, outclassing many other Pearlcatchers he knew, even the elders. They called him sentimental and sappy, but he was scared, so scared he'd forget someday, forget all the many sparkling dots he'd committed to memory, lose their track across the sky and never be able to find it again, that he'd lose his own way. Inside, though, he knew if he lost his pearl the cost would be all this and more, and this he could not afford. Thus, he turned to the Longneck magi that resided nearby, seeking assistance humbly and truthfully. The magi, knowing the pride of the Pearlcatcher and seeing the youngling's sincerity, did the best he could.
Starwatcher never predicted that to protect his fondest memories, they would have to be shattered.
