Biography
HONOUR
| Expert Swordsman | A Heroic Prince Charming |
When the will defies fear, when duty throws the gauntlet down to fate, when honor scorns to compromise with death - that is heroism.
~ Robert Green Ingersoll
Honour flew backwards, regained his footing. The Imperial before him was twice his size and had hardly broken a sweat.
“Hey, you’re doing great. You’re a quick learner, that’s putting you ahead of the others.”
Honour cracked a proud smile, trademark by now. “I’m happy to hear that. How much longer until I can join your ranks?”
“The ranks of the coliseum team? That’ll be a long time yet, I’m afraid,” The Imperial shook her head. “And actually, if I may ask, what’s your rush? You’re young, you’ve got time.”
Honour’s head bowed as he chose his next words carefully. There was a flash of a memory, long ago but not readily forgotten. The voice was there and then gone again, replaced instead by the disappointed gaze of a bronze Skydancer.
”There is too much darkness in this world, too much corruption. In order to combat it first you must find the darkness in yourself and destroy it. You have a long way to go before you can do that, too long for me to wait.”
Honour looked up again after a moment of silence.
“I may have defeated the darkness within myself, but there’s too much of it still left in this world. I have to know how to fight it.”
The Imperial smiled.
“You’re too just. Let’s get back to work.”
