Caerephon has existed since the creation of the universe. After centuries of struggling to survive alone, running from region to region in search of safety and sustenance, (His favorite food is pale pigmy hippo with blueberry jelly btw), Caerephon became jaded with the menial tasks of daily life and began to wander aimlessly in search of purpose. It was then when he came across Orrik, a wandering healer, in a blueberry field. Caeraphon was intriguied by Orrik's sense of duty and began to study him, traveling alongside as a sort of assistant until Orrik brought him to the Sundial Terrace, and told him to wait there. It was here that Caerephon discovered his immortality and spent many years meditating on this.

In his meditative state, Caerephon wandered all of Sornieth. However, Caerephon traveled in silence, and felt nothing beneath his feet, and sometimes he took notice of the absence of his shadow and her shadow and of the wind. There was a lady in Sorneith. He saw her many times, but only briefly. Whenever he tried to chase her, he could feel his heart beat faster and his breathing heavier, yet his pace did not change. Instead he would suddenly find himself, sitting facing the sundial. He wished she would stop running, so he could ask her when Orrik would return.

During the days and nights of meditation in the Sundial Terrace, Archea came to Caerephon. It began, for Caerephon, as a feeling. He felt as though someone was sitting across from him, watching his thoughts go by with him. He dismissed the feeling at first, but as time passed, the feeling grew more intense. Eventually he no longer just felt it, he saw Archea, sitting across from him, his consciousness floating as a dark cloud between them. Caerephon waited for many days for Archea (or as he called her "statua animi") to interact with him. He grew impatient, and began to attempt to communicate with her while in his meditative state. She ignored him.

On February 11th, Caerephon once again destroyed his meditative state by yelling in frustration at "statua animi", only to find Archea sitting across from him. He immediately began to demand answers from her. Archea told him about how she had found Caerephon through his aura during his meditative states. She explained how she had run from him when he saw her, for she feared his intentions. Although, once she had discovered his gentle nature, she began to sit with him, in hopes of discovering more about him. She studied his thoughts with him, until she finally determined his location. She embodied a physical form immediately.

Cearephon then founded his own clan, DRAGONSWITHHATS in this place with Archea, in order to lead other dragons to a comfortable state of meditation. Most of his offspring with Archea are exalted to the gods because they are the result of both Archea and Cearephon fulfilling their duty to attempt to create another immortal being.

Orrik has since returned to Caerephon and sworn allegiance to DRAGONSWITHHATS, but continues to wander intermittently. To honor Orrik, Caerephon continues to wear the helmet Orrik had fashioned for him when they traveled together.
