Mariana, a rather clever coatl, was outcasted from her clan at a young age due to her rather dark and dull plumage. Several days of wandering eventually brought her to the clan she resides in today, and noticing how well she blended in with the shadows, Shade gave her the role of the clan's assassin. Nowadays, she travels from clan to clan, ransacking them for materials and food for the purpose of her own clan. Will o' wisps have been following her around lately, make her worry that her position may be compromised. She tries her best to outrun them, yet all good things come to an end.

On one mission, she was inflicted with a spell that spurred blue runes to pop up over her body, and part of her tail was detached, now floating aimlessly. As such, Mariana decided that it was finally time to accept defeat. She resigned from her position as assassin, and now she spends her days lounging around in the clan's territory. She dreams of these old memories often, and tries everything she can to block them away.
