When the Clan of Still Waters was still in its infancy, Athrig happened upon it. It was a sad little thing-small and sparsely populated- and it was evident that its progenitors were struggling. Athrig, a seasoned warrior and wanderer, offered his services, and in return they paid him a small stipend of treasure. From that day forward, Athrig was bound by a contract.

With his Imperial might Athrig carved out a niche for the clan, fishing with his clever claws and chasing game across the windswept heights of the Zephyr Steppes. With the treasure garnered from his efforts, the denizens of the clan were able to expand the lair proper, and thusly their numbers grew.


Athring guided the clan's growth, training strong warriors and siring children to serve the gods. In time, the Clan of Still Waters flourished, and Athrig had become one of its most respected members: a pillar of the community he had helped to create.

In time, Athrig retired from his role, electing to step back and advise the clan's leaders from afar. As he idled, he began to feel restless. Had he already fulfilled his purpose? Already made good on the contract that had brought him here? As he dwelled on the matter, Athrig became more and more certain that he had.

So, noble Athrig bowed his head. He bid farewell to the Clan of Still Waters and sought to make his fortune elsewhere. Surely there were other clans in need of his services, clans that needed a guiding claw and a wisened Imperial eye? Presently, Athrig wanders the length of Sornieth with his contract up for offer. Perhaps he will settle somewhere, and his next adventure will begin.
