We are an intricate system made of piled muscles and have a connection deeper than any other thing. We are one and if a single one of us were to be taken, we could be hacked. Our minds could change and we could be in danger. It is my job, along with my underlings to protect the Collective. The Beta Elites are even more connected than any of our brothers or drones. We connect directly to our servers and can remotely hack any Collective member we want, save for the Queen. With this ability, we can find out so much more about the world, our enemies, our allies, and so much more.

Most of my time is spent in the archives, protecting the past Collective's information. I sort through so much information that it's hard for me to remember what is now, what is then and I sometimes forget what I am. Each of my Beta Elites connect to different servers and sort different types of information. They deal with the drones and Alpha Elites. I deal with the more political and sensitive information.

Beta Elites are arguably smarter and more important than the Alpha Elites, but since physical defense and offense is the preferred methods of our enemies, the Alpha Elites are mostly tacticians and soldiers. They've won countless battles and with our simulation training programs, will win even more. While physical threats are real and happen, there are others that go unnoticed and that is what we deal in. We are the Beta Elites and we protect the Collectives very core. It is our connection that both makes us stronger and weaker than our enemies. This is what we protect.

We connect to our servers and patch ourselves into archives sorting through all the information our drones and Alpha Elites bring us. We sort out the unnecessary (things like emotion or unhelpful) and store the necessary (things like war strategy or politics). We are probably the most connected of the Collective as we not only have our hivemind, but can connect ourselves directly into other dragons if necessary. There are times when information comes back to us distorted or we get hacked into by our silent enemies. This is when we have the most fun. When we connect to a dragon, we are like a rider. We can watch everything they do from their perspective. We can even force them to do things if we feel we need to step in.

My Beta Elites are constantly in rotation, running the archives nonstop. We break off in pairs to go eat and sleep then return to relieve two others. Silent enemies never stop trying to break us from the inside, so we never stop adjusting and fixing our coding, or encrypting our sensitive information. Most of our new Betas focus on our drones. They gather much smaller information, like what color a dragon's scale is when it has disease. Veteran Betas focus on Alpha Elites, studying the enemies. They'll sometimes connect with a drone and send them to gather more information on subjects we know nothing about. They are very similar to field researchers.

My focus, along with a few trusted, handle the more political dealings. We sort the Queens information. Our orders come directly from her and we carry them without question. It is us who decide which dragon will be tasked with an order like 'infiltrate' or 'study' or whatever else might be necessary for the Collective to survive. Very few Betas are researching technological advances that can further our connection, further our weaponry and defense, further ourselves, and further the Collective.

The Beta Elites may be small, but I believe we are the most important. We continuously petition the Queen to switch our titles with the Alpha Elites. Even after hundreds of rejections, we still press this issue, for one day, we may end up being the last line of defense, the Collectives only hope.

Okay, you just have a lot of very nice tundras. I don't see very many dragons with saturn, but Beta really looks stunning with it! His black body and bright circuit markings give saturn this amazing fade appearance. An absolutely incredible tundra.
