Jillith is the Matriarch, and she hates nothing more than seeing one of her hatchlings go. All the dragons of the Lair are her's, by heart, and she is respected by everyone, treating all equally, even her own blood children. She's in charge of teaching magic to all of them, and can be very strict.
While she founded her lair with Faranth, they never copied each other, and Jillith kind of imprinted on Anasa, then Roslyn. It was this determination that made them leave Arcane for Nature, then Light, but now Jillith feels too old to take on another journey. Light suits her and she loves the feeling of salted wind on her wings in the morning. She still teach everyone but she is also searching who in her extended family could be the next ruler of their Lair.
Atlantide is her best student and hope, but there are others who could still win the prize. Her sister, Aspen, told her to keep this succession under secret until all dissenssion is extinguished, for she fears trouble. Faranth, having the Clan for charge, does not want to express an opinion but he would prefer a Guardian to rule them than a Nocturne, too prone to influence. But he do understand the reason why Jillith want some peace ; ruling their family is tedious and a consuming project.
