Sycamore is a strategic, cunning, and deeply loyal member of the Clan. He’s been with the Clan for a very long time, and he, Nanami, Firefang, Quartz, and Ripple consider themselves to be the only beginning members that are still alive. He has good relations with most dragons, and is great friends with Dantris due to their similar personalities. He might not be the best fighter, but when he puts work into something, it’s bound to be done well.

Sycamore and Quartz were already mates before the war began, though they hadn’t had a chance to raise hatchlings yet. After the first battle, the two agreed to wait until the war ended. In the First Battle, Sycamore was on the front lines. However, instead of fighting, he was there to collect water from the drying-out lake. He and Jutta managed to collect enough to be able to keep the Clan stable for another week or so. Sycamore also attended the Second Battle, where he battles against Spirit. The fight went on for a bit, but Sycamore had to retreat, as Spirit used his sharp claws to scratch one of his eyes. Luckily, it didn’t get infected, but due to the corneal damage, Sycamore’s vision was lost in said eye. However, he still had three others, and learned to do things with three eyes instead of four. He was shocked at the death of Cuddles after the third battle, though he was still recovering from his wound and did not attend. He was one of the few dragons who agreed with Draconia’s plan to get revenge on Nightmare, saying that it was the right move. He took it upon himself to participate in the Fourth Battle, where he, Dantris, and Dragomir managed to hold off Nicholas, Aiden’s second-in-command at the time. Sycamore was one of the first dragons to get a drink as the rain began to fall, flying down to the lake as fast as possible. The war had ended, but Sycamore still had more things to come. He and Quartz had their first pair of hatchlings, Raspberry and Lyneth. They were sad to give them away to another Clan, but knew that they would be happy there, and the pair wanted their hatchlings to choose where they wanted to go.
