Tiamat (ty-ah-mat) means "sea" in Akkadian.

Bio: Tiamat is the eldest member within her clan, making her one of the wisest. Born within the Tidelord's realm, she is a swift swimmer and can hold her breath for up to twenty minutes.

Tiamat is not overly energetic and prefers to conserve her energy, not fluttering around uselessly or hovering, but committing her energy to the things she deems important. For example, as the mother figure of the clan, she would not hover over the hatchlings and instead of (the hovering is rather useless, as seen with human mothers who hover and only annoy their children), she would actively participate in playing games with the hatchlings and teaching them (to swim, to count, to play fair, to hunt, etc).

With the adopted hatchlings, she is a bit more protective than normal. She is protective of the clan's own children, but when she sees hatchlings that have been pushed out of their own clans, unwanted and alone, her heart instantly warms to them, whether they were cute or not, whether they were nice or not, and she would do her best to make them understand that in her clan they do have a home and always will have a home.

She is also the trusted one of the lair; the one that all of the other dragons know they can turn to if they have a problem or need to talk to someone. Like, if a dragon were feeling a bit depressed they would go tell her and talk to her about it, and she'd be able to cheer them up with kind (probably motherly) words and a smile. Or she'd be able to give them advice and help them find something to do to cheer them up.

Other than that, Tiamat would smile a lot, and she would enjoy being in crowds and large groups (as long as she knows them), often being a part of the center of the group (not for attention but because she is close to all of the dragons here and cares about them, so naturally she migrates to the middle of them, like the heart of the group). And when she doesn't have the energy to participate in rowdy conversations or debates (tired from the hatchlings or fishing all day), she'd sit back at the edge of the group and listen on with a fond smile.

Tiamat enjoys Silt Sifters and training new hatchlings to swim properly. Interestingly enough, Tiamat has minor katagelophobia, along with an intense love of collecting fossilized stones.
