Barton
Frostiron Clan Historian
Mate of Romanoff, the Clan Leader
He'd always had his nose in a book when he first met Romanoff, and she never seemed to mind. He shared his studies with her and she shared her ideals with him and their bonding was swift and natural.

They were without families, both of them, and though their lightning clan had been kind to them, they were both restless young dragons. When they met Weatherwax it was as clear to Barton that they were meant to join with her as it had been that Romanoff was meant to be his mate. When, years later, the clan well established, Romanoff told him that Weatherwax wanted to pass leadership of the clan down to her, he wasn't at all surprised.

His own position as clan historian remained unchanged when his mate took leadership, though now of course he spends more time focused on current events, acting as Romanoff's closest confidante.

Their lives are full and busy - running the clan, caring for its members, raising their own children, many of whom venture off to serve the Icewarden. Though he still makes time for his studies, he can't spend nearly so much time buried in books as he did in his youth, but he never seems to mind.
