The Nomad While not the most intelligent dragon, Arven has always had a certain intuition when it comes to nature. He likes to predict when flowers will bloom, and he has a particular fondness for insects and small birds. Unfortunately his invasiveness has led to him getting stung or bitten a few times in his past, so he is much more cautious now. Due to his gentle nature and small stature Arven has never been a proficient fighter. To make things worse, he seems to be completely incapable of using magic... not that he seems to really care. His combat strategy usually involves fleeing the scene and/or curling into a protective ball until the problem goes away. Not because he's sensitive, but because he doesn't believe he has it in him to fight back. Arven is very calm for the most part; it's pretty much impossible to get a rise out of him. One of the only things that gets him worked up is bad weather. He hates rain, he hates flooding, he hates humidity and overcast skies, and he hates being cold- possibly due to his unusually thin coat. Whenever he senses bad weather is coming (a particular talent of his) he immediately seeks out the nearest shelter- only to emerge the very moment the coast is clear, seeking the comfort of warm sunlight. Arven doesn't remember why he left his home ages ago, but everything beyond that point is written in the pages of his journal, alongside his observations of nature. |
