The first to survive the infection, Auctrix was the only one of her original clan to beat the wyrmwound plague. Her survival awakened a fervent religiousness in her, and upon the return of her strength, she set out to found her own clan, new and wholly devoted to the Plaguebringer. When she met Dis, another sole survivor of the plague, it seemed obvious what they were meant to do.

Head priest of the Natalis faction, Auctrix instructs only the most talented of their art. She is always consulted before sending a new member to the wyrmwound for infection, and she is the one to prep potential members for the illness. After the prepping she will not see the pupil until they've emerged from the other side of the disease, at which point she will formally welcome them into the faction.

In clan duties she serves as the head of the council, but she rarely involves herself in council activities unless pressed by others. She much prefers to tend to the studies of her pupils and furthering her own understanding of illness, infection, and the Plaguebringer herself, her merciful mother. The calamity to pull Auctrix full force into her council role is dire indeed.
