A Shadowmancer generated by the Shadowbinder, Sirius sought out Antares from the moment he awoke, claiming to have received visions that the two were meant to be together, to start a clan side by side.

The two nurtured a fledgling clan together for a time, until Sirius felt the call of the Shadowbinder, and he remained in her service for many years.

In his stead, a Guardian named Orpheus picked up where Sirius left off, assisting Antares with leadership of the clan. When Orpheus eventually succumbed to the effects of the clan's curse, Sirius could feel the pain and grief of Antares and the entire clan; with the Matriarch afflicted with the curse as well, and a child who deemed herself unfit to lead, the future of Clan Umbra was uncertain.

Sirius pleaded and pleaded with the Shadowbinder, arguing that he spent many years wholly dedicated to fighting in her stead, but now his clan, his home, his beloved, needed him more than anything. Eventually, the goddess obliged, and Sirius found himself climbing from the black pool at the Forum, and making the trek home. Despite the overwhelming grief surrounding Orpheus' passing, Sirius' unexpected return was met with nothing but joy and celebration.
