But the sorrow went too deep
The mountain fell too steep
And the wounds would never heal

It was hard to ignore the red Nocturne who was announcing some sort of show even in the middle of this crowded market. "Drakes and Dragonesses, step up and get your ticket for the show of the millennial. I have traveled all over this grand planet to bring you the oddest and most fascinating specimens you have ever seen." It really wasn't up to you. The crowd that surrounded you pulled you forward into the large tent.

The Imperial sitting on the stage looks so desperate. Every time the bell on her tail lets out a trill, she winces. Never remove it. Don't even think about it. She senses your weakness and will play to it.

"She was dark at the top of the stairs
And she called to me

And so I followed
As friends often do
I cared not for love, nor money
I think she knew
The people, they love her
And still they are the most cruel"

You are drawn forward with only the rope divider to separate you. She smiles sweetly and waves you closer. You move closer and you notice you can't see her eyes. You notice that under her mask is pitch black. You stumble back just as you notice she was reaching forward.

Suddenly a bell rings and a voice shouts at you, "You moron! Can't you read! Keep your body parts outside of the circle unless you are keen on loosing them!" The blue and brown Nocturne gives you a disproving look as she ducks under the line, "Are you ok Ralel? I brought you some dinner." The pale Imperial wraps herself around the Nocturne making almost mewing noises. The Nocturne pulls out a large package of fresh meat and you both watch as she gulps it down instantly. The Nocturne turns back to you, "That could have been you if I didn't get here in time. Now move along." "Ennnvvvoooy," the Imperial wraps herself around Envoy, who sighs and stokes the Imperials head.

Unknown to even Ralel

Ralel was once a young Imperial with a mate she loved more then anything. She became sick and slowly withered way. Refusing to give her up to their clan so they could burn her body, they stole her away. In the middle of The Hewn City they preformed a necromancy spell to bring her back. The process tore her mind. Out of fear, her mate fled, leaving their broken love behind in the ruins.
