Neschume gets on best with more sedate dragons. Others find it easy to talk over him, owing to his soft voice. He is also prone to losing his voice altogether, which is a great frustration to him.

The clan usually tries to return mystery eggs if they came from a neighboring clan. However, this was not possible with Allistaire, who originates in Plague. There was no discernable reason his egg wound up in this territory, and also no way to determine what clan he came from. So Allistaire stayed, and the duty to raise him fell upon Neschume. That is, until Larkspur herself took an interest in the boy's affairs.
