This destiny is not hers.

It may be what her parents want her to have, but the path of a Realmwalker has never been for her. She's never found her calling interfering in the business of spirits.

And yet.

And yet, old shadows and whispers of forbidden magic cling to her claws, tainting every step she takes. Plaguebringer knows, she turned to hunting a long time ago (and what a talent she has for it, too) to drown the voices whispering of idle claws but it is not easy being born in a clutch of dragons who are all magically-inclined.

This is why she runs. She flees her own fate in the hope of finding a kinder destiny, building snares instead of enchanting traps, and tracking down prey instead of taking down malevolent spirits.

It is a simple life she leads. It will not last.
