Biography
LIONHEART The Lovesick Fool Clan Role: Archeologist Mate: King Pronouns: he/him Bio: Lionheart loved the Sunbeam Ruins, and was always curious to find out about the civilization that was there before them--before even, he theorizes, any of dragonkind. Ever since he was a hatchling and stumbled upon an ancient drawing on the wall of a cave with a broken plate below it, he was utterly fascinated. Some would even say obsessed. At first, he ran into a lot of problems trying to study the ruins, especially as some of them were regarded as sacred to the Lightweaver and were guarded by something called The Order of the Sacred Tablet. But after enough insistence he just wanted to study evidence of times gone by, and no, he didn't wish any harm to come to sacred artifacts, and would in fact turn anything he found over to the Order--they actually granted him passage through their territory and into some of the ancient temples no other civilian was allowed into. Once, while visiting one of these temples, Lionheart caught one of the members of the Order who was there to guard it looking with interest at an ancient vase. He was gorgeous, like a marble statue, and Lionheart fell instantly and deeply in love. His name was King and he was something of a potter himself, or used to be, he admitted to Lion in a whisper. They talked until the sun sunk low over the golden hills, and when King left with one sweep of his great wings, Lionheart found himself hoping their paths would cross again. But by the time he worked up the courage to ask his contacts at the Order about King, they told him that the dragon of his dreams had left on a pilgrimage. Even though Lionheart had never been out of the Ruins before, he packed every bag he had with supplies and, as an afterthought, a single rose, and went on his own journey. He wasn't about to let King get away a second time. When King found out that the charmingly oblivious archaeologist had been pursuing him with the same sort of dogged perseverance he normally chased ancient artifacts with, he didn't have the heart to tell him it was technically forbidden for those in the Order to take mates. Even if Lionheart had learned that, he would probably still insist on accompanying King as his companion on his journey. Loyal to the end. |
