Biography
When the clan leaders need advice, I converse with the Flamecaller. Or try to. She doesn't always respond, but the others don't need to know that. Only my mate knows that the Goddess is sometimes quiet when I ask questions of her. But he will keep that knowledge to himself.
The Flambebe Order had started as a joke. It was lost to legend as to the exact roots of the Order. But she was a Priestess of the Order, and many lairs in the Ashfall Wastes had at least one Priest or Priestess among its inhabitants. So she had traveled to this clan when the leaders had requested a Priestess, though they had been smaller, then, and had moved once or twice since she had settled in. She didn't need much, other than incense when she could get it. When she couldn't, she used her orb of seeing, instead.
The Flamecaller didn't always respond, but the Priestess could give good advice on her own, too.
---
It has grown cold, but the others have failed to notice. Perhaps it is just me...
She had awoken on a warm morning to find her thick fur, usually toasty warm, covered in frost. She was chilled, but could not allow the others to notice that their oracle had so obviously lost the favour of their Goddess. She bundled a cloak around herself, glad for the extra heat it afforded her. Her mate's fur had also collected frost, and she began to worry. It wasn't time to tell them yet, though...
---
Thank you, my Goddess. I shall not fail you again.
Months later, with the coming of spring, she awoke with a flame sprite nestled in her fur. The frost had melted away with the arrival of the sprite, and she nuzzled it thankfully before casting off her winter cloak. The others had not noticed the frost which had covered her, for which she was grateful. She quickly lit some incense and basked in the glory of her Goddess once more, sending her silent thanks to the Flame Caller.
