Darkwood was a hatchling from a terrible mother, and a loving father. Bred for a potential successor to the clan's throne Darkwood started off life small and sickly. She was ignored and scorned by her mother but adored and cherished by her skydancer father, encouraging his daughter to seek out a new clan and find happiness elsewhere away from the tyrrany that was her matriarchal figure.

With sad goodbyes she flew off towards the ice flight and quickly found herself unintentionally adopted into a clan lead by Larisa. With time, care and tutoring from many of the older clan members Darkwood became a formidable fighter and efficient gatherer growing into the full adult form. On occasion she still hears rumours of her horrid mother raising a new sibling, someone called Seige. Should they ever meet, it would only mean misfortune for one or both of them.
