Savagewing
— Born of Blood —

Even though he was hatched from a Nature egg, Savagewing is the least like a Nature dragon. When he was still an egg, the Clan was raided by BeastClans. In the battle, his parents could only take one egg - and it was not his, leaving him for the BeastClans. However, the BeastClans did not take interest in his small and sickly egg. Abandoned by his family, he grew up with a heart filled with spite and hate. Hate at his family for heartlessly abandoning their son, hate at himself for being so worthless and powerless. He had to fight and scavenge for every scrap just to survive, and the roughness of this kind of living got to him. His ribs were showing, and his green eyes were dull and hollowed, void of any energy and emotion.

The turning point in his life occured when he first encountered his familiar, the Nightmare named Eryeine. He had fought off and finally killed a weaker scavenger in a scuffle, and the Nightmare seemed to materialise out of thin air. The Nightmare led the weak Savagewing towards the Wyrmwound, where he was able to heal himself and recover. The scent of blood and power of death attracted Savagewing, influencing his bloodlust and later turning him into a murderer.

Driven onward by bloodlust, Savagewing spends his days murdering any dragon he encounters. He takes joy in taking lives and spilling blood, the crimson liquid staining his body red. He believes that he is taking revenge on his family and the dragons who have wronged him. Using his magic, he hypnotises his victims using the swirling patterns on his body before killing them. However, due to overuse of magic, the magic has begun to wear on him, causing wounds and scars to appear across his arms. Wrapping bandages which quickly stain red by the blood, he hides the signs of his misuse of power. He leaves the mark of Blood whenever he leaves a murder scene. So far, no one has ever been able to catch and kill him.
