Biography
Rorik
The First Night |
Formal, reclusive, and mysterious are how most members of the Alys University Resistance would describe Rorik. “An Eleven-forsaken ghost” is how the Alys Trading Co. Militarized Police refer to him. Ask any of the Night’s Five, and they’ll call him the best stuck-up they’ve ever had the pleasure to know.
Rorik is the field commander and infiltrator of the Night’s Five. Thanks to his skills, the Night’s Five have been the most effective team at striking at valuable Trading Co. positions, people, and holdings. Not that Rorik will let anyone know. Rorik, alongside his skills in infiltration, runs a very tight ship in terms of information. Thanks to him, quite a few dragons think that the Night’s Five only do bodyguard duty for Resistance Leadership. Much to the entertainment and occasional frustration of the Night’s Five, Rorik holds himself to the highest standards of manners both in public and in private. He only lets them drop during missions and when caught off-guard. This has, of course, led to the other members of the Night’s Five doing all they can to surprise or embarrass Rorik enough that he drops his manners. Victoria is winning. Outside of his time with the Night’s Five, Rorik spends a lot of time with Ochre, Cumulon, and Virgo. Ochre and Rorik spend a lot of time talking shop over various gadgets the five use, or testing new things Ochre’s come up with. In exchange for all the free things Ochre makes, Rorik has had to swear several oaths to retake Ochre’s best lab for him. Cumulon and Rorik became good friends after many months of Rorik spending vast amounts of time in the archives, where Cumulon works. On the rare occasions Rorik goes out, instead of being roped into being the responsible person while the rest of the Night’s Five party, an exceedingly dull position, Rorik goes with Cumulon. Cumulon not trying to convince Rorik to do anything stupid or go to any parties Rorik would find distasteful or start any sentence with “Hey Rorik watch this!” probably has a lot to do with why Rorik goes out with Cumulon and not his life mates. Virgo and Rorik are best friends. They bonded quickly when Rorik stumbled upon Virgo’s literature club entirely on accident. After discovering they had the same favorite author, they became fast friends, and now Rorik is the Vice-President of the club. With Rorik has come the rest of the Night Five’s occasional attendance and a better strategy for finding new members than asking every dragon in the resistance if they wanna join a two-dragon literature club at random times. Rorik is life mates with the other four dragons of the Night’s Five. Once Melira took over, and the University Resistance was formed, the Night’s Five ended up outed as Arissa’s special forces when Arissa took the position of Deputy Headmistress, so the five could finally be registered as life mates on official paper. The ceremony was lovely and the celebration lasted several days. |
