Dullahan is a wandering spirit, spending much of her time travelling roads both terrestrial and beyond. They say her sudden appearance on the road is a warning of a dragon's imminent death, and so she is much feared by other travelers. She herself considers this characteristic a public service, a sort of helpful heads up that you should get your affairs in order.

Many assume she does not have a home, at least not on the mortal plane. They assume incorrectly, as no matter how long her journeys last or how far they take her, Dullahan can always find a road back to the House of Echidna. There she is welcomed, and quite at home, and nobody cries when they see her coming down the drive.

The reasons for Dullahan’s journeys are many, but her main tasks are escorting recently deceased souls to their final resting place and escorting House dragonets who have decided to Exalt to the Arcanist’s observatory. She has referred to be of these as a "side gigs," however, and no one knows if her primary task on Earth is the “omen of death” thing, or something else entirely.

Very little is known about her in general, as she tends to shrug off most personal questions and keep to herself, though she does not seem to actively dislike other dragons’ company. She's an excellent listener, and can be persuaded into polite small talk about her favorite places when in a good mood. Those who have travelled with her report that she has a bottomless repertoire of travel songs, though her singing voice is quiet and often missed over the sounds of cartwheels on the road or wind in the trees.

One thing that is well known to members of the House is how much Dullahan likes everything to be in its place. Sometimes that means making sure the hatchlings put away their toys, and sometimes that means making sure those interred in the House graveyard stay there. Sometimes it means making sure those whose death she has prophesied stick to the assigned schedule.

She seems to have some kind of partnership with Caligari, though no one knows why. When she’s home, she is frequently found in his boisterous company and will ruthlessly protect him from his (many) enemies, but it's hard to fathom what the quiet spirit sees in the flamboyant con man. It's possible that she owes him a magically-binding debt, or that there is some kind of special price on his soul she is waiting to collect. Or maybe she just thinks he's funny. Hard to tell.
