Knowles previously resided in the Tuzuno Clan, where he eagerly learned all he could. His pious mother wanted him to serve the Icewarden, but his father encouraged him to see what other clans could offer him. He could always decide to serve a diety at another time, but for now it was worth seeing what else the world could offer one with such a curious heart. Bundling up to venture out into the cold, he decided to venture out of the Fortress of Ends to see what other clans had to offer him. Knowles's quest is a journey for knowledge, and he hopes his new clan has lots to offer him.

Gaining the title of “Head Boy” put an enormous weight on top of Knowles’ shoulders, a weight that could never be decreased until the title was lost. Despite the pressure Knowles consistently almost caved under, the Gryffindor would not change a thing, for although it had its downsides, it was certainly a great honor for the intelligent boy, especially considering his role in the wizard society; a muggle, or as the pure bloods called him; mudblood.

Growing up alone and without parents often taught Knowles the significance of responsibility at an early age, especially when he was forced to fend for himself, this leading him to initially refuse the offer of attending the strange school of Hogwarts. Of course, soon after his refusal to the invitation, Knowles decided that life there couldn’t be much worse than the life he currently led; and possibly he could have the privilege of meeting friends.

Early on through his journey of Hogwarts, Knowles found himself quickly growing frustrated. Being teased constantly by Slytherin’s for not only his house, but his bloodline, as well as his lack of parental guidance. However; Knowles’ Gryffindor pride got in the way, denying him access to withdrawal from the magical school, and so he stayed.

As Knowles grew in the magical world, he grew to cherish the opportunity he had been given. Coming from a small cardboard box lying underneath the large bridge to now living in a large castle where he could expand his knowledge, Knowles realized that there was not really time for friends seeing as he needed to study; needed to pass and not allow room for even the slightest chance of him getting expelled occur.

This, however, all changed when Knowles noticed a young Hufflepuff, who just so happened to be a muggle, being bullied by a small group of Slytherin’s. Before he could wrap his mind around the situation and calmly think of a plan, Knowles’ Gryffindor bravery surely came into play as he marched over, muttering a quick, “Expelliarmus”, before helping her up, a small pint of satisfaction building in him at the sight of a few Slytherin’s running away in fear.

Despite their horrendous meeting, Knowles and the small Hufflepuff girl, who he learned was named, “Hestia”, became friends, and he acted as a protector of sorts. However, almost as soon as they met, Knowles came to the realization that he garnered a slight crush on the tiny girl, and vice versa. It was not long before the two fell into a deep relationship, and though Knowles swore his school meant much more to him rather than having the pleasure of friendships, or even a relationship, he was sure that Hestia was a close second, and he even knew that was a lie, for she was certainly his number one
