Tansang is cheerful, naive, and blissfully ignorant of the underlying tensions that exist within the clan. His mate Kuanglang doesn't really help since she has long ceased to care about the existing strife within the clan.
Unfortunately for Tansang, his lack of understanding has made him the perfect puppet figure for Nephthys. One day, Nephthys and Set left the clan temporarily to visit a neighboring clan. Nephthys put Tansang in charge, making sure to drape some Moonglow Thorns around him before she left. Being the naive dragon that he is, Tansang happily accepted them as a gift, never realizing that Nephthys uses them as a way to spy on him and control him if need be.
On the outside, it appears as though Nephthys has stepped down from her position of power, but she is merely trying to appease some of the lesser minds among the clan--she still rules with an iron claw from behind the scenes.
