Biography:
Contrast was Moonbeam's first heir, but he was not heir for long. Two years after Moonbeam became leader, all seemed peaceful and well in the Clan. However, little did anybody know that somebody was planning a murder.

Days later, Contrast vanished. The Clan searched for him for days but found no trace of the navy nocturne. Finally, they found his body, rotting, smelly and stashed away in a cave past the Clan's border. He had a knife wound in his heart and it was still bleeding. It was clear he had been murdered.

The Clan was devastated by the death of a great leader-to-be. They mourned Contrast, but Moonbeam insisted that neither he nor Contrast could rest until the killer was found, leaving Contrast's soul to be set free in peace. However, nobody knew who the killer was. Fortunately, Jade and Sharpclaw of the Windflight Cafe had some useful information.

"We keep track of who comes in and out of our cafe," Jade had told Moonbeam. "We also make sure every customer has returned their utensils and plates after eating. We don't tolerate theft."
"And because of this, we realized that a steak knife was missing from our cafe." Sharpclaw added. "The knife could have been used to kill Contrast, or it was taken home to use. Our knives are top-quality."

Moonbeam looked into what the brothers had said. After investigating the wound in Contrast's body and comparing it with a Windflight Cafe knife, he was sure that the knife stolen from the Cafe was used in the murder. That was a very useful piece of evidence, but the Clan still had no idea who the murderer was.
