Biography
Lycus Tailor / Jewelry Maker / LAIR MASCOT Lycus, in his own words, was born into a rather “classy” family in the Lightweaver’s domain. They were very focused around their Deity, and the prospect that as direct children of his vibrant greatness, they had to play the part. Of course, that meant excelling at their talents-- and at specific talents. Usually ones that were carefully, meticulously taught almost immediately after hatching. When Lycus hatched, his family was delighted. It was a rather small brood that season, and to see such a stunning Coatl emerge from one of their eggs was like a blessing from their Deity himself! He had an unusually darkened hue to his eyes, and his bright, contrasting colors overall made him a stunning male. That rang true as he grew into adulthood; he was well favored by many in that regard. Lycus however, did not excel in the way his parents wanted him to. His “livelihood” had already been planned for him as usual; he would grow to be a fantastic fighter, and a stunning spy who could smooth his way over just about anyone. Hey did not turn out that way. Admittedly, this Coatl is very perceptive of the waking world around him. He can pick up on emotions, or tones so quickly it’s astounding. However, he is a very calm, shy, laid back dragon. That kind of personality is definitely not meant for a battle of any kind. His lacking ability to truly take to his training brought shame and disgust to his family. Though they did not entirely give up on him, they constantly pressured him and overall thought little of him, and he quickly grew to despise it. It was when they learned of his...Unusual talents, that their opinions of him only grew worse. They did not see the worth in it. They did not see worth in him spending so much of his time making useless, “flashy” things. You see, Lycus is amazing at making clothing, and especially jewelry! You could give him such a wide, random range of simple scraps, and somehow he will refine them, clean them up and turn them into a beautiful pair of earrings, or maybe a bracelet, or decorative horn cuff! He is incredibly good at what he does, and being that he is entirely self-taught, it only makes his work even more enticing! It is due to this, that his role in the Clan quickly became apparent after he arrived to them one night to avoid a storm. Through that they all quickly learned of his talents when he expertly recreated some jewelry from their junk piles! Now he gladly makes clothing and jewelry for his Clan; mostly jewelry, as that is his strong suit. He even sells his original works at their shop, and other places. He is also more than happy to fix any and every piece of jewelry that is given to him, free of charge! Through The Mystic Misfits, he also found a beautiful Coatl that stole his attention rather quickly after they had met. His stunning mate Clorra had come originally to seek him out and document his talents first-hand, but found she quite liked the charming male and his calm, gentle nature~ |
