STORY

Once a renown seer throughout the Letumis court, Amythia’s previous abilities and prowess has fallen to nothing but a memory. The pearlcatcher hails from a clan of unknown name in the sea of a thousand currents’ fishspine reef. It was there he was hatched and raised to be a deepseer for his clan. Though the schooling took many months, Amythia quickly showed that he was quite adept at reading the prophecies that he would find while in the tunnels of Shoredeep Presage and after flawlessly performing the first divination ceremony inside of the underwater grotto his skills were put to use for his clan.

Except, Amythia was bored of this. One would think that being able to hear the whispers of the Tidelord himself would excite any dragon, but not Amythia. He didn’t want to hear - he wanted to see. Wanted to see what these things whispered to him were. Wanted to see what the land of Sorenith held in store for him. After he brought up the new oracle and determined that his successor would be adept enough at their job, he left his clan for a life of travel.

Few know how or why exactly he came to live in the court, and those that do know the story do not speak of it for the sake of keeping some sort of secret out of the mouths of gossiping wyrms. He is here now though, and using the knowledge of the tides and what magical resources he’s granted Amythia continues to speak the future to Starius. Or, he did.

As with many other water dragons, when the disappearance of the Tidelord struck the land the abilities to see into the future left Amythia, as well as taking a majority of his physical eyesight. No longer can he read the ripples or tides in front of him, as any attempt to simply leaves him with a pounding headache and clouded thoughts. This lack of ability has quickly shot down his overall state of mind and there are less and less sightings of the once prolific seer as the days continue.
