TEMPERANCE
Demi-God

VHRULit.png Protection and Conservation
I was always searching for something to gain my father's approval but it was difficult as Tidelord was a difficult one to please. A guardian's mission in life is to find something draw in their life's calling, regardless of what it might be. And being a demi-god, daughter of Tidelord, meant that I had to find something incredibly worth my life. I may not be immortal but I can live a long time, so finding my calling meant waiting a while.

It wasn't until I met a goddess, no bigger that my head, did I realize that I had something worth while. She wanted to bring life to Tranquil Island, and create a place for colonies to grow. Tidelord approved of Xephras's wish to do so and I was moved by her holiness.
Her motivation was my inspiration. I began building forces to protect the island, using everything in my wake to make sure everyone can live a comfortable life.

Guardians of the Deep
The depths of Leviathan's Trench are quaking, causing mass panic across Sornieth. As Tidelord's direct descendant, we have a lot of questions going unanswered. There were mysteries happening among the young and old dragons. Dragons and beast clan kin were throwing more and more accusations towards us demi-gods, especially towards those who still lived in the deep.

The four of us decided it was time to meet half way, and converse about our father. I have three brothers, Axel, Trocola, and Leecouche. Each of us have adapted to different watery climates, and gained mutations which allowed us to live so long in our environment. Axel and I are the only ones that has completely adapted to only living in the ocean. So Trocola, and Leecouche had to be the ones to dive in order to meet with us.

Tranquil Island has an excellent spot for us to converse, one where all of us could benefit from staying there for a lengthy time. The locals call it Trinity Reef, a quiet place indeed, perfect for Tidelord's offsprings. Guard dragons greeted us upon entry. We all brought our respective mates, as support of course. I was the first to arrive with my mate, Derelicta, who also stood guard outside as I entered.

"This place truly is quaint," I said, admiring the display of shells, and decorated fish bones. Some preserved bones of surface dwellers were in air tight displays as well. I was admiring the human skull when Axel was the next to arrive.

"Seems like your fascination for mundane trinkets have never changed," Axel said upon entry.

"You're one to talk, I've seen your collection of surface items. Honestly, why didn't you go to the surface when you had the chance?" I snorted.

"And let you have complete control over the Deep Dwellers? I think not. I didn't want you having all the glory of ruling the ocean, Temperance," he retorted.

I glared at him.

Trocola, and Leecouche arrived at the same time. The tension between Axel and I was still steadily increasing, until Trocola came over to give me a hug.

"My dear sister, you look as beautiful as ever," he said.

"Same goes for you, Tro. I hope your travels to the deep were pleasant," I said. I shifted my attention to Leecouche, who was reserved, like usual. "I hope the same for you."

"Having to breath salt water is making me ache. Can we please get on with our reason for being here?" he grumbled.

"Very well," I said, "send in the maren."

A maren swam his way into our gathering place, holding a crystallize bubble, placing it on the table for us four guardians.

"This is the last bubble found before Our Lord's disappearance. It crystallized on it own, and no one has been able to make sense of it," he said.

All of us gazed upon it. There was a long pause, one that seemed to have lasted for maybe twenty minutes.

"I think this is just an ordinary bubble," Trocola was the first speak up.

"Then what crystallized it? Is it ice?" Axel wondered.

"It's not ice. I would be able to sense Icewarden if it were. I'm... I'm not sensing anything. Not even Father."

Leecouche was the next to speak up saying, "well something had to do this. If this was the very last bubble he made, then there's got to be some sort of significance."

"What are you getting, Temperance?" Trocola asked.

My concentration was becoming thick. I could hear the voice our father whaling from inside it. My eyes began to glow, and the identity marks stretching across my skin glowed brighter and brighter, then suddenly I began speaking in a voice not familiar to my own.

"Great dragons of Sornieth, behold the greatness of the ocean. Thousands of years of conservation have finally found a breakthrough. Heed my words, for the currents of time will continue to flow, and so shall the evolution of dragonkind. Do not fret the receding tides, for they shall return like a wave, and flood this world with it's greatness."

The glow on my marks subsided, along with my eyes, giving me a clear view of shock coming from my brothers. They were dumbfounded, just like I was. Even the maren was shocked.

"What was that?" Axel asked, the shocked still clear in his voice.

"I... I don't understand. I was completely conscious, yet I had no control over myself," I said, holding onto my head.

"It sounds like you experienced a divination. But how? How could you tap into it, when no one else can?" the maren wondered.

"Perhaps it's because we're direct descendants, so we might have a better chance of taping into the prophecy," Leecouche hypothesized.

Axel was glaring at me when Trocola gave his thoughts, "it's amazing. I'm impressed that our sister managed to get it out. What do you think it might mean? I mean even for our father, this kind of prophecy is very vague."

"Perhaps it's meant to be a surprise, even for us," I said, shifting my eyes between everyone. However, the tension coming from Axel kept drawing me back to him. "What?" I asked.

"Are you responsible for this?" he asked, baring his teeth.

"What?"

"Are you the one responsible for Father's disappearance?"

I stood up, automatically becoming defensive, "don't be so foolish, Axel. How could I possibly have any cause for this?"

"You're the only one out of us that is closest to Father, Temperance! And now you're the only one able to complete the divination! If you ask me, that smells like rotten fish!" Axel yelled, "you made him disappear so your dragons could have the chance for complete control over the oceans, didn't you? You crystallized that bubble to make it believable!"

"You really believe our own sister would make our father disappear, Axel?" Trocola asked, stepping in to defend me.

"Don't you, Trocola? Tidelord wouldn't just disappear like that!" Axel barked.

Leecouche scoffs, "Tidelord is a god. There's no way that someone like Him would be taken down by a half mortal like one of us. Honestly Axel, it sounds like you're just using this as a means to cover up your jealousy towards Temperance."

Axel's jaw dropped.

"You dear to accuse me of being jealous? Who's side are you on!" he roared, "Temperance has been increasing her numbers, and gaining more and more power over the years, and even the surface dwellers are beginning to question if she's somehow involved." Axel's eyes glowered, calming down slightly as he talked. "Unlike her, I'm hearing all of it! And sometimes one has to wonder... what if they're onto something?"

I scoffed, and started walking passed everyone.

"If you're going to believe the surface dwellers over your own blood, then I have no more to say. Honestly, your stupidity never cease to amaze me, Axel," I say, waddling away with my head held high.

"You're just going to walk away!?" Axel growled, looking like he was about to pounce me. Derelicta held his weapon up to Axel's throat, "you dare raise a weapon at me, Depth Dweller?"

"Only because your energy is clearly indicating a threat towards Lady Temperance, who also happens to be my mate. Attack her, and I will not hesitate to wage war against the Shallow Sentinels. Your jealousy brings shame to all Dwellers, including your own, Lord Axel."

"Leave him, Derelicta, we have no need for violence. Let's go back home, and prepare for Father's return," I said, taking my leave back towards the depths.
