Hanajima was born into the elemental Shadow flight. She was named by her parents after her odd gift of reading dragons. Hanajima can detect minute body language that, along with her high intelligence level, allows her to conclude to what others are thinking. Because of her "power", she was rejected by her family and immediately put up in the auction house. Elsa found her and recruited her. Elsa didn't seem to mind Hanajima's gift; she actually thought it was very interesting. Elsa and Hanajima soon became close friends. They train together in the coliseum and hunt together as well. Hanajima met Sariyah after she had Amaya. Sariyah accepted her situation and hopes to be a faithful mate.
