The Serpent of Eden, the Originator of Original Sin- Crowley is the darkness that lurks in the heart of man, but his heart's just not in it. It's not as though he ever meant to fall. It was more of a saunter vaguely downwards anyway.

The problem is, he likes humans. He likes Earth- nowhere else has his Bentley, or ducks, or for that matter, his Arrangement with Aziraphale. Why should it all be wiped away for the sake of some Divine squabble?

He can't stop the Apocalypse all by himself.

But maybe he doesn't have to...
