Biography

ASTARAEA
"'So Astaraea, although you forget life for love of death /
the dear sound of your wingbeats and light glancing in your eyes / would move me more than glitter of Divine scale / or armored tread of mainland infantry' ...oh darling, this is delightful."
Etched Tusk
Enchanted Remains
Grave Dust

Astaraea's fascination with philosophy, the nature of life, and the true reality of the world around her is fairly typical for a Light dragon: her morbid fascination with pushing the limits of all three is decidedly less so. Astaraea came to the attention of Beta when she was caught gravedigging for experimental materials by a clan of Wind Imperials passing through her clan's territory on a pilgrimage to the Beacon of the Radiant Eye. The resulting scandal would have resulted in all-out war if not for the intervention of accomplished diplomat Betta, one of the leaders of Beta's Acquisition Division. By the time he had finished with negotiations, all the clans involved were grudgingly satisfied, and Astaraea had been spirited away to the Sea of a Thousand Currents.

Astaraea was quick to become an acolyte of the similarly morbid Morrigan, the Bogsneak leader of the Alchemist Division. Nowadays, whenever Astaraea isn't luxuriating in the poetic attention of her mate Sappho, she's boiling down the effects and remains of long-dead dragons and familiars to create new life in her cauldron - when her experiments don't go horribly wrong, that is.

Exalting Astaraea to the service of the Tidelord will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
