If anyone was to ask a resident of The Jade Sanctuary who had the largest heart any dragon could have, Rosemary's name would slip off their tongue without a second thought. Sweet and kind, the small pearlcatcher holds the title of Medic in the nature clan, and with a soft and steady claw, its a title no one would ever think to take away from her. Born to parents in shadow, RoseMary's bright attitude was a breath of fresh air in her old clan, and as she grew older it became a dream of hers to bring a smile to every dragon she met. Eventually, the dragoness became fascinated with the medicinal world, and she found that her desires couldn't be satisfied in her birth clan, and Rosemary began to travel, taking apprenticeships in every clan she arrived in. Soon her skills exceeded those who she learned from, and Rosemary took her delights in teaching others. Eventually, her wandering clinic landed in nature and after jumping around from clan to clan she arrived at the sanctuary. Due to a sanctuary's nature, many dragons arrive in need of medical attention, and with a never-ending flow of patients and new faces, the wandering pearlcatcher finally settled down and made a home.

With roots set in the sanctuary and a naturally warm personality, there was no doubt that soon Rosemary would make friends and eventually find love. Befriending practically everyone in the clan, soon her appeal reached beyond the sanctuary into their sister clan in plague, catching the eye of the stoic guardian, Onyx. While the two couldn't seem farther apart on the spectrum, one sweet, small, and excitable, the other solemn, strict, and tired, over time, the two eventually grew close and finally, formed a mating pair. Though separated by distance and flight, the two managed to maintain a healthy relationship, and eventually, they welcomed five hatchlings into the world. Two pearlcatchers and three guardians, they lived together as a large family, and once the hatchlings reached an older age, Onyx took two and returned to plague, leaving Rosemary with three and communicating by letter and with the intent of visiting one another as frequently as possible. However, after the separation, the family would remain broken for the rest of time. Shortly after the guardian's departure, a violent sickness swept over the nature clan, targeting the young and the old. It took away many lives, leaving the clan a hollow shell, of what it once was. Unable to find a cure, Rosemary was left to watch helplessly as the pandemic laid waste to friends and finally, her family. Her young children, unable to fight the disease, soon fell ill, and eventually, two of them passed on to live with the gladekeeper. Devastated, word was soon sent to Onyx about the passing of his children, and the guardian returned to his mate with the two hatchlings he had taken with him once the quarantine around the clan was lifted. He found Rosemary in her home, the only surviving hatchling of the three being held close to her chest.
