F A M I L I A R

Zera had already settled into her new home. She loved and thought it was beautiful there, except it was lonely there. She was already a dragon a this point... half the time she had nothing to do. She was bored of just sitting about, so she finally decided to do something she should've done a long time ago.
Zera was wondering out into the forest and she found a swamp like area. She made her way through the thorns to get there. The sight was gorgeous. She went around the edges of the water.
The water was a strange color, Zera realized. It was a black color and looked like it was a thicker,
goo like consistency. She reached one of her arms into it and sure enough it was a thick, heavy ooze. She wiped all of it away and carried on. Soon she found a little patch of thorns and seemed like something was rustling inside of them. She pulled apart the purple thorns and small goblin like creature was inside. It looked wounded. There were cuts on it from the thorns. Zera lifted the creature and flew it back to her lair.
She started to grow fond of the goblin and it also grew fond of her. She decided to keep rather than put it back out into the forest. She needed a name for it though."Thorn," Zera decided. "Just thorn. I know they almost killed you, but it fits."
The creature nodded its head in agreement. Zera was glad it liked the name.
Zera finally wasn't going to be lonely. She was going to live her life with Thorn by her side.

A F T E R

Zera has finally settled down into her new clan. Everything was just how she wanted it. Soon she welcomed in new dragons, without parents, into her lair. They might not have been in shadow, but they perfect and they ll got along just fine.
