As hatchlings, Kayi and Caillie were very close. They did everything together, and hated being apart. They refused the high honour of being exalted for the fear of being separated, and moved from their shadowed home-lair to the bright green of the Viridian Labyrinth. The clan was kind and well-wishing, but eventually the extra dragons began to take a toll on their stores. The brother and sister found themselves on the move once more, and returned to the Tangled Woods, where Nocturnis took the pair in.

Both of the siblings wield powerful magic, though not in a way that most dragons do. They can change their shape into that of another creature. Kayi can shift into the shape of a indian peacock (Pavo cristatus) and a satin bowerbird (Ptilonorhynchus violaceus), which he thinks is the root of his hoarding problem with blue things.

Kayi constantly travels around Sornieth to pockets of ancient magic, to learn more about magic. Often his sister accompanies him, but sometimes she's off on adventures of her own... 		bZZWs2O.png
