Runefall

When Runefall had just become a young adult, her life was turned upside down when something attacked during her sleepy. Her body became severely mangled, and her family there in the Sunbeam Ruins rushed her to as many healers and doctors as they could, and thankfully, she survived, though much of her body was too injured to be saved. It is suspected that the attack she suffered was a failed assassination attempt (for unknown, reasons, too; Runefall had always lived a very average life and was an extremely kind dragon), and with nothing else to do, it was decided Runefall be gifted mechanical prosthetics to replace her missing limbs.
Runefall was given a prosthetic tail, front leg, and back leg, metal plates in her neck, head, and other parts of her body like her back, hips, and prosthetic wing membranes. As she spent time at her home trying to adapt to her prosthetics, Runefall began to despise her home and the Sunbeam Ruins for how heavily it reminded her of her pain. And so, desperate to get out, Runefall shakily took off into the sky and stopped at trading post upon trading post all across Sornieth to find somewhere to go, until she met Autumn and Mica, the co-leader and healer of an Ice clan named Gelida. She decided to fly with them back to their clan, and was shocked at what she found.
Gelida was stunning to her. She quickly fell in love with the flowery tundra clan, the beautiful scenery and impressive architectural dens, but most of all, the members. Every member of the clan was as kind to her as can be; they treated her no differently than they would anyone else. The new friends and experiences she made in Gelida helped her decide to settle down there and move away from her trauma in the past.
Today, many members of Gelida regard Runefall as an aunt figure — they love listening to her stories and all the wise advice she has to give, and her friendly, airy personality and joyful sense of humor are a blessing for most anyone that speaks with her. She loves to read, and often joins Orias as the clan's scholar when she can. Her closest friends are Wisp, Lapis, and Lophius, and she has become particularly good friends with Goji, who often uses his Fire magic to make sure her prosthetics don't freeze in the Icefield's cold. She is currently dating Obsidian, studying history and science, and above all else, Runefall is simply just happy.
