Am: The Clan Reaper

Found near death in the scarred wasteland, Am doesn't speak much of her past. A fury burns deep in her eyes and she is by far the quietest in the clan. When she speaks everyone listens. At the time she was found she was in such bad shape that she had lost all her patterning and was just an obsidian heap sitting next to a bubbling pool of disease. Aix and Sovari are the scavengers who happened across her that day. Not even they could say why they brought her back to be nursed to health by Tinuviel. Bringing an outsider to the clan to be healed was nearly unheard of at that time; usually to join the clan an individual had to show some interest and initiative.

Am was always keenly aware of the differences between how she joined the clan and always felt she had a bit of a debt to pay to the clan. After observing the duties held by all the others she approached Mukate and Darkfall, the clan leaders. She mentioned to them that she had noticed they lacked a reaper for their clan. Mukate nodded and told her this was because no dragon was willing to take the job. For years they had simply drawn lots whenever one was needed. Darkfall added that the lonely and isolating nature of the job is what prevented the others from being willing to take the job on a permanent basis. Am paused to think before speaking, "I will be your reaper." Both of the leaders were shocked. They never thought anyone would be willing to take on this role to say nothing of volunteering.

Her first day Am was greeted by Darkbane, the general of the clan's forces and keeper of all weapons and armor. He was surprised when he first saw her. He had heard many stories of the dragon found in the Wastes but he had heard nothing of her after she returned to full health. Her patterns now showed subtly and she was fairly large for a Mirror female. She would do. She would do very well. Imposing but graceful. Darkbane smiled to himself as he retrieved the guise of The Reaper.

Am donned the items brought to her by Darkbane and spent a moment adjusting them so she could still fly with ease. There was to be a ceremony before she was officially The Reaper. She took a deep breath and stepped out in front of the whole clan for the first time since the ceremony which made her part of this family.
