Ugly was born in madness and disease.
However, she was so ugly, it's likely she caused said madness and disease. Or, maybe it was her parents...yes, that seems correct. Some might argue they were normal citizens contributing to society, I would personally refer to them as psychopaths tainting the world. *sigh* still, they are muchly (is that a word? I feel like it's not) loved.

Unfortualty for ThisDragonIsUgly, she is not loved. She has a face (and, well, everything else) that only a mother could love, and that's exactly how it happened. Only the Ridgeback Dapple looked upon her with fondness. Her father simply ran away to go do who-knows-what in who-knows-where, but then again, he does that no matter the situation. Feeding, hunting, scavenging, familiar bonding....why not egg hatching?
*ahem* anyway, getting off course here. What were we talking about? Ah, yes, Ugly.
When the rest of the clan saw her, they simply said "NOPE" and intended to get rid of her. Luckily, this world is corrupt and there exists a maker for selling children.
Ugly was tossed on the Auction House with an uncomfortably generous price. I'd even this failed, she'd perhaps be sold for a pile of dirt, maybe a potato.

This did not discoverage Ugly. She was excited by the idea of grand adventure, whether that meant a new clan, or a servant to a deity.
Judging by her looks, she was going to get the latter.

Now Ugly awaits her destiny. Be it in a clan of gallant warriors (or intellectually imapried failures), or in the home of a grand deity, doing whatever it is exalted dragons do.

Such as, gathering potatoes. So proud.
