Bloodstone Frontier was born deaf. And she wanted very much to be like her father. The idea of being a guard was not just reserved for Guardian wishes. The clan she lived in, however, was full up in guards. She would have to travel, to find a clan that would need her. Along the way, she heard rumors of plague imperials taking a clan in nature as a charge of sorts. The story was just bizarre enough to follow up on.
She somehow found the clan, in shambles. Apparently, the idea of plague imperial guards was not as popular with the clan as the stories made it out to be. The clan had been overtaken by a cult, and was trying to rebuild itself with a leader who’d lost faith in their local goddess. Frontier had lots of work ahead of her. It was only due to sheer luck that she got to meet the imperial from the stories. Rhodochrosite
18921.png Esmalur was his name, and he was still captain of the guard despite losing a leg from an ambush from the cult and shade almost overtaking him. He ended up taking her under his wing, and training her to be a part of the dwindling guard. With his help, the deaf dragon was soon accepted both into the guard and clan, where she now dwells. She tries writing to her father, proud to follow his example.
